Thread Lock?

I'm installing the upper VS hinge assembly. I understand the torque is 20-25 inch pounds on the AN3 bolts but should I use thread lock on them??

As a general rule, you don't use thread-lock on AN hardware - you either use self-locking nuts, you use castle nuts with cotter pins, or the application doesn't need securing (rare). there area few places on the aircraft where Loc-Tite is used, but because of variations in how it is used by people in the field,, it is not considered a "positive" way of securing a a fastener.

Don't forget to add running torque

Catman - don't forget that the drag a fiber lock nut or nutplate places on a bolt should to be added to the desired torque value to obtain accurate torque settings. Likely to be around 5 to 7 inch pounds for the hardware you are using.

Happy building,
