Nice -8 at 52F’s Richmond Aircraft (Randy Richmond) yesterday when I stopped for a visit. N67AW lives at nearby 16X. Its owner Scott Cunningham and I had a nice visit. Hope he comes around more often.
Stopped in to Rob Reece’s -8 that he is painting himself. By teaching himself how to do this, he’s saving tens of thousands. It’s gonna to be beautiful.
After an early morning of sims it was nice to see some RV stuff and folks.

New lighted windsock located midfield on west site.

If your iPhone and Apple Watch are running iOS26 you can now display NOTES app files on the watch. There is also a new complication that pulls up the last document you were viewing (like an RV checklist). I used it in the sim Thursday for the first time, and it’s my new go to ‘usual’ checklist spot - B4 T/O, Afters, Descent, Appr and B4 Lndg. Have to read these like five times during each sim, so this is way convenient.

I've seen a few flat (CNC cut sheet metal) panels with the Garmin AP head in the center of the panel. I really want to do this on my plane, but it's complicated by the rib right behind the center of the panel. I've seen this done on a few RVs, I'm wondering if there is anyone lurking here who...
