Oil change question…
Any of you like me, laying out the screws to your cowl on a rag in piles relative to where they go? And yes, that small snap on ratchet and pair of lineman pliers were my father‘s.

Also, I use a geology field loop to inspect whether they need replacing. Possible OCD I freely admit, and yes I keep a geology field loop in my pocket next to the signal mirror. Your taunts do not bother me. ;^). (slightly out of focus - hard to photograph)

Also, on the drive home I passed a white crossover pulling a trailer with a naked 8A fuse on it - headed west on 1171. Tapped ‘save clip’ on the dash and grabbed this still from the playback, left camera. Seen in the wild! 1329 local.

Hope ya have a nice hump day.

What did you do with your RV this weekend? Saturday is starting off windy here in DFW, with 35kts at 3,000 and lots of turb. A morning to mow and do laundry LOL. Hope your local is less bumpy. v/r,dr

Section 39 - Control Systems Page 8, step 3: F-1065 pushrod into WD-1011
As I am assembling the individual parts, I note that not all result in a tight connection. There is a fair bit of slop at the F-1065 pushrod into WD-1011 intersection. Note the gap between the Vans supplied steel washers and the rod end bearing at the top inside of the control stick base. Add...

Cowl Ideas Wanted
I'm building an RV-3B. Its cowl is much like the RV-4 cowl, with the cheeks. As I work on the lower cowl, I've been using these aluminum tabs, clecoed to the bottom cowl, as a convenience during installation. My procedure now is to: Hang a bungee over the engine mount, Raise the cowl up to the...

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
