Hope you had a nice weekend.

I did just what others suggested. I am building the two ailerons across from each other as mirror images. That really helps in orientation. I clecoed everything together this afternoon, including the leading edge and aft skins. I then disassembled, completed all of the countersinking, finished scruffing surfaces and I am ready to prime mating surfaces. I think the actual riveting will go pretty quickly. I did the same mirror image assembly for the flaps, visible in the background.

WDYDWYRTW? April 3-5 2026
Starting this one, because Doug is dragging a little behind and I have a cool flight to add! My son and I have a thing for good crawfish - and I had today off from work, and he was out of school. Low weather across most of Texas, but a non-issue for me with my instrument ticket. We loaded up...

Carb rebuild reinatall questions
I had my carb rebuilt and the new float installed. I reinstalled it and I am having difficulty pushing the throttle lever from the cockpit to full throttle. I can physically move the lever to full with my hand but not with the cable. I did have to take the cable support loose to allow me to...

Using AI to come up with a paint scheme.
So, my Rv-4 is in need of being re-painted. I have somewhat of an Idea of what I want and to combine two concepts. I want it to somewhat match my car [Estoril Blue], and I have an affinity for the Logo of Marvels agents of Shield. So I decided why not see what I can get using A.I. I could sit an...

RV-6 project for sale $$ ??
I have an RV-6 project I am going to sell and need an idea as to the value. I have been a mechanic/machinist in my earlier years and feel I have done a good job on the construction. At the age of 75 as of Sunday I do not feel like finishing it and I get to see a heart surgeon in June for some...

Baffle Conical Gusset
Before I just keep making attempts, any advice or tricks you found helpful in making the corner conical gusset for the baffles (outside corner of inlet)? I have a good paper shape, but so far my attempts at turning that into aluminum have been pretty sub par. Bending/rolling became easier once...

Mid wing mixer box question
Hi all, Like most I am missing parts so working on sections I can complete. The left mixer box is complete so I figured I may as well build the righ as I have all of those parts. I understand the lower nutplate switches position for the right wing (vs the drawing for left). I was looking at the...

Ailerons Build
Does anyone have pictures of the right and left ailerons being built? I know that a few have had to backtrack because of the spar orientation. Just wanting to avoid building it upside down. The plans only show the left aileron, so I’m sure the right is a mirror image of the left, but pictures help.

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
