Part-time side hustle had me taking a thing to a place to get a person(s), hence this late push on the weekend edition. On the plus side we taxied by this beautiful RV-10 in Georgia.
Crummy WX here in N.TX starting the weekend - hope better in your location.
Wishing you and yours a happy, safe and RV-filled weekend.

EZ-PORT, another data point ...
If you decide to change the rivet static "port" to something more in keeping with aircraft quality & durability, I make a static port out of a ground & polished HiLok fastener which has the flexibility of being able to tighten it down in the fuselage with a conventional 10-32 hex nut (with washer): and, for coupling (read sealing), you can screw on a barbed fitting or appropriately sized PC (Push-to-Connect) fittings. If you have any interest, please let me know - or make them yourself - I'll send you a couple of HiLoks for free if you want to modify them yourself ...

I finally made it to the hangar and did a preliminary run. Ran into some problems with my tach signal. It appears the nuts and washers used to mount the prop are reflective enough to produce multiple false tach signals per revolution. I was able to mitigate this some by spacing the sensor out with washers below the angle, and decreasing the pulse width for LED modulation. This was enough to get me a clean tach signal at lower RPMs, but when I did a full throttle runup I would start having problems again.

Too late for George, but wheel pants are best done in the comfort of the home shop. The -8 and all the models with motor mount legs can be jigged up and completed early in the game. I've done 'em on my knees in a hangar, and the difference is night and day.

These mounts took minimal time to make, are light, cost nothing (made from left-over material) and hold the camera mount perfectly still. They've been tested to Vne and both high and low G's. They also hold the Triangle I made for aerobatics, when I want to use it. Speed loss... zero.

This next one might or might not be useful. I used it mostly on my leading edge fuel tanks, which are a lot different than the RV-15s have. I used C-clamps as supports to prevent the Rocker from rocking. The C-clamps added a third contact point for stability while being easily adjustable. I recommend two C-clamps for assurance that one won't flip out of the way.
As with the Tees, the Rocker was deep enough to prevent interference with the clecoes. Unfortunately the photo didn't pick up on it but the two sides are held together with pipe and pipe ends. You can see its shadow.
