Felt mighty good. Fog west of the field - I needed to keep an eye on that, so only time for three TnGs to get ‘RV current’ so to speak. Rolled over the field about 30 min after landing.
Man, it felt good to get back in the RV-6. Those descending base to finals* with the fog off in the distance, no bumps and low sun angle surely did reset my mental gyros.
If you look close you’ll see another RV-6 at the runup ramp that had the same idea.
A good day.

*The first two TnGs down to about a foot and then power up to save tire tread and practice manual flaps 2 to 1 without overspeeding ‘um. Great fun!

In the "booth", I used a spray table having 1/2" hardware cloth surface, and a filtered box fan exhaust below the table. I used the Stewart Eco_Prime water-based primer, so the drying time was practically zero and I could do it in the house in the winter. The 1/2" mesh was a good size to keep the small parts, too. Stringing up all the parts on frames would be very time consuming, if you're priming everything as I did (I know, I know....).

Spray Rack for Priming
What have people come up with for holding parts while priming? I build a chicken wire table that works fairly well for the larger flatter parts. I have have pondered some type of vertical setup that would allow me to spray the entire part without having to wait for them to dry and then flip. A...

RV-3B Dave's in Colorado
After removing the RH Pmag and changing some fittings, I managed to eliminate the interference and still have one of the hoses fit. It helped to have a strong shop light oriented carefully, as well as removing some of the LH Pmag’s leads. And I did buy a specialized wrench which proved...

RV-7 Tire Wobble on Rollout...
Any suggestions on how to solve a pretty serious tire wobble/shimmy on rollout after landing in my new RV-7? I have tires with tubes (not sure of brand but can find out tomorrow if needed) that were replaced in July 2020 per the logs. I'm thinking maybe a balance issue? Or maybe just a need...

How to flute the F-01412A/B and F-0140 Bulkhead flanges?
Page 10-10 says to "Flute the bottom flanges of the bulkhead as required to fit the F-01479 Aft Bottom Skin". There are enormous gaps between the bulkheads and the F-01479 Aft Bottom Skin but I can't seem to close them. You can see from the photos that I tried fluting the outer flange tabs but...

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
