VAF POSTS & RV NEWS THAT CAUGHT MY EYE.....dr:

RV-12 Status …arattinger
This is my RV12iS almost ready to start testing systems integration. Putting the plane together has been fun
Heat (or lack of) in the cockpit
A new link added in 'The VAF List'
Rudder trailing edge potential issue
I'm working on my RV-10 rudder and I made a mistake and slightly creased the trailing edge in the wrong direction for one of the two skins. I tried to go back and fix it with the edge forming tool to bend it the other way. Now it is a bit "wavy" and I have a photo of the worst section of that below.
Between the tank sealant and the rivets will this end up working out OK as is? Is there anything else that I can do to fix it? Or will I need a new skin?
Building virtual RV-3 …Jslow2
Since its to cold to work on the 9 in the garage, started building a 3 in CAD
Canopy Rail Mel Tip
I painted the top of my canopy in 1994. It still looks great today. I tried many primers to no avail. Finally found what works. Scuff the area to be painted with Scotch-Brite, and paint directly with polyurethane paint and no primer. I used JetGlo.

Painting the canopy
A question came up the other day regarding painting a wide stripe on a canopy. So what is a proper primer, paint and prep for the job? Concern about all the products that damage the plexiglass leaves questions. We would appreciate any input from the experts. Thanks, Larry
