Flew the RV-6 up to KGLE to get gas Tue a.m.. Over the last XX days (too embarrassed to say) got air in the tires, the new battery installed and fresh oil in the motor. Pilot’s halo on the way up. They towed the Aviation Traders ATL-98 Carvair ‘Miss 1944’ from the far east side of the field over to the main ramp since my last visit, so I walked up and got a couple pics. Always impressive. Felt nice to fly the RV.

Two big events
Panel lights up For the first time yesterday First engine run today. Thank you to Brady Glover, Jake Jansen and Cameron Rogers and my wife Wendy and family for their support over 21years getting to this point. Some squawks but they are from a living bird😅

WY winters are cold and windy. My uninsulated drafty hangar doesn't retain heat without a glowing dwarf star inside. Recently after pulling the IO-360 for overhaul, I arrived home complaining about the temps in the hangar and wife said: "put your engine in the living room" 🤣🥳 bless her heart
