Circle of Aviation Life Update.
The nice kid (Cade M. - call sign ‘My Pleasure’) I ordered from at Chic’F’Lay near my house about 10 months ago while wearing a Vail Valley Jet Center free shirt has an update. He was working the counter and noticed my shirt. “Are you a pilot?” Sort of. “I have my PPL and Instrument and want to be a jet pilot more than anything.” Go ask your boss if we can talk for ten minutes. I do part time seat support in a jet sim down at DFW 2-3 days a week. Are you interested in doing seat support? You can get a type rating after 100 sessions. “Yes!!!!” I reached out to the people that hire. He has done 160 sessions to date.
Tuesday he took his check ride in the Embraer Phenom 300. He is now typed in a $10M jet. He’s reaching out to the clients starting Wed that told him to let them know when he was typed. He’s gonna be a hot damn jet pilot. VERY proud of my friend Cade - he earned it and did the work. In typical Cade fashion, he worked a sim session after his type ride. Glutton for punishment <g>.
