Almost out of the ice, and I hope the same where you are. Wishing you and yours a happy, safe and RV-filled weekend.

Rob is building in a corner of my hangar, did all the painting himself (in a booth on the airport) and is in the ‘put it back together’ phase.

This is a pic before final close-up. Shut-off valve can be safety-tied open. Takes 5 minutes to slide the seat all the way back. (Rear seat stop mod needed) I would not cut exterior access panels in the belly.

A lot depends on what your wing tip configuration is. My tips are the Horner style and had the old whelen nav/strobe installed on “blisters” I glassed in on the original build. Made the decision an easy one for me.
If you have the wing tip style cut outs with the large lens, beware as some folks get glare off the strobe and have to install a “fence” on the wing to block the light. Just depends on wing tip type.

…my RV-12 muffler has a #3 input bell where one side is worn almost all the way through, and has cracked through, resulting in an exhaust leak. Also the ball on the corresponding exhaust pipe is badly eroded.

[Opinion] Which fuel filter(s) and where to place them?
So I am trying to install some systems right now and have some questions and seeking inputs. Some key information about my plans are that I intend to almost always use non-ethanol mogas but I also want the capability to run fuel that contains ethanol. I think I've settled on dual electronic...

Vendor for RV-12 Exhaust?
Does anyone know who the vendor is that supplies Vans RV-12 exhaust systems? Is it Klint at Vetterman or someone else?

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
