Tailwheel Transition Training Sought Central FL Area

Srbrake

I'm New Here
Hello,

I recently purchased an 8 but it does not have full dual controls. I am looking for someone to do tailwheel transition training. I have over a hundred hours of tailwheel time & a couple hundred hours of nose wheel RV time, but no time in a tailwheel RV. My insurance will accept instruction in a 6, 7, or 8. Willing to travel anywhere around FL/GA area.

If you have the option you might want to check with other insurance sources like the folks at Gallaghers to at least have something to compare to. You don't mention the number of dual hours your insurer is requiring but that might factor into the insurance sourcing decision as well.

You sort of imply that the rear seat has some controls. Enough to keep a cfi happy? Or maybe you start from the aft seat? If you need a cfi who will provide a -6 or -7 or -8 it’s going to be expensive if the cfi insures the plane for giving dual instruction to others for hire.
