Occasionally I find myself away from home in a tailwheel airplane, with no tow bar handy, but wishing I had one. I know that some people use a length of rope with a handle on it as a "tailwheel lasso", and I was planning to make up my own example, but then I found an even easier pre-made solution. It turns out that the perfect tow strap for an RV taildragger already exists, except that it's sold as a "deer carcass drag rope". This one cost me four bucks from Amazon, and for that kind of money it's not even worth my time to drive around town shopping for the components. It weighs practically nothing, and will live with my other onboard supplies, ready for the occasion when it might be useful.
