Tailcone faring

Question?? Will I need to remove the horizontal Stabilator in order to fit or install the fiberglass tail-cone faring??? I’m a long ways from doing it but would like to know if it’s going to be an issue.

No. It’s split in two pieces and they fit around the stabilator.

If you know someone with a RV-12 that's done a conditional inspection on their plane, ask them how they get inside the tailcone to inspect, and LPS2 lube the ball bearing joints inside there.

I am installing the tailcone on my RV-12 (not the RV-12is) and the tail feathers are off. So it may be model specific.
