Hi everyone, I am about to match drill all the side skin/L bracket holes as stated on page 10-11 step 2 which it states a 3/32 match drill. Where in the process do these get final drilled to #40. The L stock after match drilling will get counter sinked and the counter sinks are for a #40 hole.
Did I miss it? A fried building one looked back and didnt see it either. This is the thick L bracket you had to make a bend to follow the top of the side skins.

Thanks

Maybe 10-12 Step 9? It infers it from the top skins. Also since you’re close the instructions tell you to build f1012d the old way, for my kit there was a new piece of angle but had to reference the sb for its fabrication.

Hmmm I guess ultimately the rivet size is what to drill for just seems very vague and wondering if there is a reason vs just a #40?

yeah, the final drill in part of 10-12 step 9. I think it's done that way to keep the F-1032 tighter to help force alignment as the datum for the plane 🤷‍♂️?

or more likely to help prevent oversized holes from a dull drill bit. I recall I needed to change mine out before I was done with all 73.4 million holes on those two parts.

Thanks, it does appear the holes are 3/32 in the skin so maybe its to keep a good hole till you can get clecos in and then upsize.
