Strobes - Single or Double Flash

Gents - I have an Aeroflash strobe on the pilot side that appears to be giving up the ghost. It is a double flash unit and the passenger side is a single flash. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light why the original builder would have different units in each wing. I am thinking of replacing the power supply with a single flash unit if it turn out to be the problem. Thanks in advance!

I can't think of any good reason for the difference. Maybe they got a good deal from someone or bought the single-flash unit by mistake.

I think I have a whole shipset of Aeroflash lights and power supplies in my parts bin. Want to buy them?
