Pretty much the same as when they are on the plane so as long as nothing can get in them like a mouse or anything that is alive it should be good. Make sure nothing can fall on them or put some plywood over them.
I know of a wing that had mouse pi$$ in it and took a lot of work to make clean it and protect it.
Those wings will need/want protection like an 18 year old at the prom.
Especially from the critters as has been mentioned. They can crawl vertically and oh ya there are some that fly up there and cause havoc.
I'm a bee keeper and for many years I used to remove bees from quiet places for a hobby. (and money of course)
They get into buildings and build nests in the craziest of places.
Hey I got an idea. Go to a furniture store and get some mattress covers. tough and leak proof.
