Had a similar problem last summer with my D1000, started out intermittent until it failed full time, also lost the primary network in flight (reboot got it back). Same drill on cables and trying various combinations of equipment in the SV network, including using a Dynon supplied test cable connected to only the EMS-220 and D1000. Ended up shipping the D1000 and EMS-220 back to Dynon for an $1,100 repair bill for a bad "electrical/mechanical component" in the D1000. Add to that 7-weeks of troubleshooting and repair downtime. Next time I will seriously consider the HDX upgrade vs another $1,000 repair bill.
SV-D1000 Data Connection Fault - Data 2 Pair (pins 4 and 8)
Went to fly today and got a CAUTION message for a secondary network fault. Checking the network status page shows the D1000 display has the fault listed. Troubleshooting steps: 1. swapped D1000 DB-9 cable to other D1000 network port. Error still shows. 2. swapped D1000 DB-9 cable to two other...

Thank you Scott! I disconnected the options connector and reconnected several times today and error messages are gone. Time will tell if this worked. HDX has been indicating problem with serial pins 1&6.
