Stabilator Range of Movement

I have posted about the range of movement for the stabilator on a 12iS before but I thought I would request photos or examinations from other builders. I still have not received a definitive answer from Van's. I have attached photos of my stabilator in the TE (Trailing Edge) up and down positions against the stops. Would other builders please compare these photos to what the stabilator on your 12iS looks like when full up and down. I am concerned about the lack of travel at the TE down stop. Thanks in advance!

Looks about right. You need very little TE down (nose down), as the 12 is not designed for inverted flight.

Agree w/ above. You look fine in those pics. IIRC, there are specs to be found in the Product Acceptance Procedures.

I was a wee bit concerned (at first) when I saw that the stab rotated much more one way than the other.
Put my expired engineers cap back on and thought it through.
The way I saw it; the aircraft needs more aerodynamic force to raise the nose than to lower it.

I think with an all flying stabilator and a neutral AOA you are producing all the lift you need to raise the tail and put the nose down.
