SS Heater Valve Cable Connection

I have the SS heater valves for the RV-10 from ACS. How is the cable intended to be secured by the provided hardware? There is a drilled bolt, some thin washers and a metal locknut but it’s not clear how it’s supposed to be used. I expect you somehow deform the cable by clamping it in the hole between washers but it doesn’t seem as positive as the traditional setscrew style of connection.

One washer each side of the cable. Adjust for length & tighten.
Do yourself a favor and get the correct part for the job.

I have a pair of the setscrew versions ready to go. Was just wondering if there was some advantage to the ones that were supplied with the valves. It sounds like no.
