Spring break

I've got an IFR RV-9, my 16 year old daughter, and a week off.

I'm in Central Texas, and we need some suggestions on what to do/where to go for spring break.

Not big on the beach, what suggestions for some cool places to go? I'm good with 5-7 hours flying away(maybe even a bit more), so that opens up a really big part of the country.

I'm agree with this suggestion. Death Valley is having a rare "super bloom" of desert flowers right now and it must be amazing from the air.

I have a similiar situation Dan, week off, and two seven year olds. We are flying to Leadville to ski at Skicooper. Looks like a good place for kids. I'll let you know how it goes!

Andy, Copper Mountain and Ski Cooper are different areas; I'm guessing your taking your kids to Ski Cooper.

Joe, yes, Skicooper, is it a good place for beginners? Looks good.
