Lots of planes flew without spinners. It just reduces some drag.

I raced a formula one at Reno w/o a spinner once, worst part of all is it looked stupid in the pylon photos

Be careful.

If you have “filler plates” behind the blades, these plates are secured to the spinner rear bulkhead as well as a screw through the fiberglass spinner. The centrifugal force on these plates (without the forward screw) will force them to bend outward.

Most Sonex use a wooden or composite prop..... No conventional real spinner.



It depends on the motor used.
