Smart Glide 650xi

My understanding is that depressing the direct to button for 2-3 seconds is supposed to initiate smart glide with the 650xi. The direct to screen pops up to allow the selection and to enter the fix/ airport to go direct to but smart glide does not activate. I can establish smart glide through selection of the emergency screen but not the direct to button.

Anything I should check or do to initiate by selecting the direct to button? Thanks

As I understand it, the smart glide function in the GTN needs to be activated in the set up.
If you also have the G3X, the smart glide in the GTN should be deactivated.
