What will be the process for removing and installing the lower cowling once the new radiator and oil cooler is installed?

I ask because KIT-B will have screws through the cowling; I get that. You would just remove the screws. But KIT-A is solid rivets attaching it to the lower cowling.

Then once the radiator and oil cooler are detached from the lower cowling then would we need to use a stool or bench cut to the correct height to rest the radiator and oil cooler assembly on or will the assembly just "dangle" on the hoses?

No, it looks like you don’t remove the screws; you remove the four Cam Locks and the assembly hangs from the cables attached to the engine. The pins on the bottom of the oil cooler slide into the bracket that’s secured by the screws. Hopefully realigning the Cam Locks won’t be too difficult during reinstallation.

The attachment to the cowling, whether screws or rivets, is only to secure the lower bracket. The oil cooler has two pins on its bottom that slide into a corresponding pair of grommets on the top of the bracket. So to remove the cowling, you detach the four cam locks that hold the radiator/oil cooler assembly to the cowling, then slide the assembly upward, so the pins disengage from the bracket. The radiator/oil cooler assembly then simply hangs from a pair of steel cables attached to the engine (no hoses get disconnected). The cowling can then be removed - the lower bracket containing the grommets remains attached to the cowling.

(Bob beat me to it!)
