Finished the base fasteners, way more work than the hinge but done.

Not that it matters but is there a reason you installed them with nut plates instead of just rivets?

I'm more interested in why they are "over" the flange on the firewall, instead of "under", and how that works. Seems like it would leave the cowling proud of the forward fuselage skins.

and I’ve checked the cowl on the fasteners and it does sit flush with the top skin.

Forgot to mention that the forward skin is removable per the plans on the 4 , the difference is only about .025 in the height as that I think is the thickness of the SS firewall.

A follow up on the Sky Bolt base system, I have changed them for the plans hinge setup as I found it fits much better with the cowling.
