Sikaflex questions

Sikaflex questions. Hopefully those of you that have done this before can help with a few questions. I may have already made a mistake as I've already cut my door window lip down to 3/4" per the plans. I believe I understand the general process but have a few specific questions.

I've watched the Glastar/Sportsman window video and read the thread below.

Questions,
  • How much gap do I need between the window and cabin top? I'd like to have it as small as possible. I’ve read some are using ¼”, is this much necessary? I’d like to have 1/8”, this will also leave more room for bonding the window to the door.
  • How much bonding area do I need between the window and door lip? I've read that 1/2" is sufficient.
  • Use clecos and washers or spacers to hold the window up and flat with the cabin top? Or, just let the sikaflex settle, pushing out the excess with clecos/bridges only pushing the window down flush.
  • How much do the windows actually expand and contract? I understand the finished fillet of Sikaflex actually bulges in the heat.
I will not fiberglass over the Sikaflex. Everything I’ve read says the fiberglass/paint will crack due to movement.

Thanks for the advice!
