Not done yet, but I'm a little further along now than where I was when I took these pictures.

I haven't quite finished the wiring to be able to fire it up for the first time, but as my wife said tonight "hey, it's starting to look like a real plane!" The one remaining piece is to 3D print a cover for my future IFR GPS in the center stack (and run the engine cables). Before anyone points it out, yes, the flaps switch will get something to differentiate it. I do have flaps on my stick as well, so the panel switch is just for the option.

I guess it's not as much of the norm these days, but I did the panel myself by hand. I enjoy this kind of work, so I didn't really see a reason to pay someone else to design it and do all of the cutting and labeling. I laid it out by hand and cut it. I sprayed with the same interior paint I used on everything else (Stewart Ekocrylic). I designed the labels using a vector program, then had them printed as dry transfer labels. I sprayed matte clear (Rustoleum) once done - the matte really gives everything a nice finish, helps hide some of the paint imperfections, and protects the labels.

Very excited to get the wiring finished up and flip the switch!

Made some updates after I purchased last year and while not as fancy as some, it's a work in process. Would like to update my switches at some point to backlit rockers and adjust the layout.IMG_4772.jpeg

Dual Dynon HDX 10" displays, Garmin GNC355 for IFR GPS. This is an early picture when I first fired up the panel.
