Shoulder Straps Control inexpensively.

I was always straining my neck and bruising my armpit to find the belts after remembering those straps are still in the back of my RV7A cargo floor. So being from the Marine world I paid a visit to the Aviation Isle in a Marine Store and picked up some very light stainless-steel handrails. They solved the problem and added a shiny flair to the interior too. (15 minute install).

A forward impact could tear out the mount and allow the excess belt (needed to go up and over your shoulders) to snap your forward thrust, to a sudden stop, instead of holding you firmly in place.... just a thought.

It seems like a good thought maybe if I was 7ft tall, but my shoulders are lower than the seat backs and cushions too. I flew today and the straps come over the cushion and down across my shoulders, fits perfectly. (And I am 5ft 11 In 200lbs). Good Advice tho: Measure first!

If your shoulders are above those cushions and metal seat backs then your head would probably stick out thru my canopy. This is an RV7A if your results are different by measuring first just sit in the seat and look back to see if your straps are level or not. Good Advice Mel: Measure First! (I am 5ft 11in and straps are level before rolling over the shoulders).
