Should I prime the counterweights?

I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I was wondering if there are any reasons to (or not to) prime the lead counterweights? I'm using the NAPA 7220, and I'm not even sure how well it would stick to lead.

You could if it would make you feel better, but lead does not have a corrosion problem when exposed to the environment.

Check http://www.corrosion-doctors.org/MatSelect/corrlead.htm and don't fly through Portland cement dust clouds...
