Section 27 (Firewall) Issues

F-1001G-L and F-1001G-R are mirror images of each other, including the hole pattern for a nutplate (see my photo below). But on page 27-5 (also in photo below), it only shows a nutplate on the right side. Unfortunately, I think that I match-drilled the #12 hole through F-1001A (the firewall) and F-1001B (upper angle). But I did not match drill the two nutplate attach holes. Can anybody help me figure out the best thing to do? Do I need a nutplate on both sides or only the right side? If I don't need a nutplate on the left, what should I do with this #12 hole? Should I just plan to put a bolt and nut through there instead of a rivet?

Additionally, in two places on page 27-2, the instruction text talks about fourteen K1000-3 nutlates. But on page 27-5, I count fifteen K1000-3 nutplates (not counting the potential extra one I asked about above).

I don’t see why a bolt and nutplate wouldn't work. You could also rivet the through the 3/32 holes meant for the nutplate... you might want to ask vans but my guess is that two rivets would be stronger than one in any case, and edge distance looks ok…
