Scary

Same here. But, I'll be out of the country for a month. So mine will have to wait till November! That means I'll be bumping the heat up in the hangar when I get back.
 
It’s not so bad that you need to be scared. Follow the instructions and it will all be good.
 
Yep, not a big deal. Make sure the canopy is warm and use the cutoff wheel in the FWF kit. I read all the horror stories before my first time and was very nervous but it really was a non-event. Make sure and do a good job polishing the edges when you are done fitting to avoid any stress risers on the edges.
 
When I recovered and refurbished my T-Craft back in 1968. I replaced the windscreen. I found a very nice one at a salvage yard. I made a good deal on it but since it was the middle of winter and the airplane was outside, I was told that I had to remove it myself and that I must purchase it before removal. I was VERY careful and ended up with a very nice deal. It did cost a considerable amount of nervous sweat!
