SB-00043 Elevator Skin Cracks

My 10 doesn't have any cracks (1150 hrs) but would like to be proactive and apply the sealent while its down for the condition inspection this fall. The SB-00043 kit is available from the Vans store but they don't have the inexpensive sealant gun.

Has anyone done this without using the sealant gun? I realize it looks to be much easier with the gun. I couldn't find a "cheap" one on AS.

If anyone has the cheaper gun they could part with let me know.

We actually had better results shaping a popsicle stick to a soft point and taping it to a longer dowel and just mixing the proseal in a cup and putting it into the seam by hand. Tedious but neater and easier.

Cheap-ish

I couldn't find a "cheap" one on AS.

I made my own using an old caulking gun. Had to grind the plunger to fit the sealant tube opening and I needed to tape the tube it in place, but it worked very well.
