RV15 Wing Rib Fluting

For those who have already installed the wing skins. How much fluting is needed on the nose ribs and did you flute the main rib at all on the top. I've completed both the Ailerons and Flaps and those nose ribs needed some serious fluting. The pics and notes people posted really helped on the Flaps and Ailerons. So far I've fluted all the wing nose ribs about 1/2 of what I did on the ailerons and flaps.

Thanks for the help

The nose ribs need fluting as you would expect from an RV nose rib and it's fairly intuitive.

The main ribs are a little different thinking that legacy kits, where fluting was an operation that involved straightening the rib. On the -15 what you will probably notice on your main ribs is that your flanges have holes that are non linear. You will need to flute the rib with the focus being on getting those rows of holes to be linear so they will match up well with the skins. This may result in the entire rib taking a little bend, but you can make that up in the web where there are gaps in the flange.

Sorry if I'm over-explaining, I know you're a more experienced builder but someone else may wonder the same. My point is just to think flange holes. It's pretty easy to see once you sight down a few flanges; your main ribs will need some fluting.
