RV12 Legacy tunnel cover not wide enough

Has anyone run into this issue? My tunnel cover is 6 1/2 inches wide, but the width needed is 7-7 1/4 inches. I ordered a replacement but it too is 6 1/2 inches. If so how did you handle this? It’s part number F-1230. I can cut the replacement one to fit and rivit it to the one I had, but then it won’t be a single piece of AL.

In this type of situation, there is usually only two explanations

In some prior construction steps some incorrect assembly was done

Or

A part was miss manufactured/miss labeled and when you ordered a replacement, you got another from that bin that was also bad.

The majority of the time it is the first answer.

I suggest a call to tech support and have them help you work through it.
