Thought I'd share how I riveted the seat pans to the seat ribs. This is section 49-03, step 6. If you haven't built these yet there isn't much room for a bucking bar. This was my solution, it worked very well!
I bolted a back riveting plate to my workbench. This plate was 4" wide. If you had a 3" wide plate it would work better, the ribs would fit over the plate better. The plate allowed me to back-rivet the seat pans to the seat ribs with a high level of control and fairly easy. My work bench is built for back riveting, but I would think you could accomplish the same on a wooden bench. The pictures show how I had to angle the ribs to make the 4" plate work.
