I'm looking for a solid "RV fluent" CFI to help me knock the rust off, fly regularly with me, and help me maintain currency in my RV-7A. I'm based at KVNY, (SoCal), but it would be easy enough to hop over to KCMA, KWHP, or KSMO once I'm comfortable again. I'd like to pick up my instrument rating as part of this too, so a CFII is preferable.
I have about 500 hours total time, though most of that is in fixed pitch bug smashers. (My RV is an IO-360 powered constant speed machine.) I was comfortable post-transition, but life got in the way and I had to put flying in a drawer for about a year and a half. I have time and motivation again. The aircraft recently had a fresh condition inspection, and it has been flown for several hours recently. My BFR and Medical are current.
