Did you all comply with this?

Re-inspect every 25 flight hours until the EX-00021 is replaced with the EX-00021-1 AND EX-00022-1 is replaced with the EX-00022-2.
- If cracks are detected: Replace the EX-00021 with the EX-00021-1 AND the EX-00022-1 with the EX-00022-2.
AND
- Install Aithre Shield Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector per SL-00010, or another aviation compatible CO detector
nce between EX-00021 and EX-00021-1 (how to ID) ?
  • What's the difference between EX-00022-1 and EX-00022-2 (how to ID)?
  • Was there some cut off where the new -1 and -2 was standard Equip?
  • Did you proactively replace the pipes or just keep doing repetitive inspection?
  • What CO2 detector* did you install?
* SB calls for Aithre Shield Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector per SL-00010. A $500 unit, fancy.

I realize this is not an AD or a Safety Directive, but curious about what others did.

I can't comment on the other without more research, but I do know we are using the older version of of the $100 Forensics Detectors CO detector in each of our planes.

They are sensitive!

The Aithre shield is easy to install and it's nice to have an EFIS integrated CO2 sensor. No extra gizmo to manage, it's just there on the screen. Betty will let you know with a warning in your headset if there is an issue.

I think it's a good thing to have regardless of SB status.

I hear you, really is cool no doubt, wiring it to EFIS, but $500 plus cost of wiring into the EFIS harness? CO2 detector elements only last 5-10 yrs. Then what? Will they rebuild it? SB calls it out by name -OR- or another aviation compatible CO detector. Above two are adequate and a fraction of price, virtually no installation fuss and very sensitive with aural and light flashing. With that said might go with $5.00 job.  :)
