Been flying my RV-10 for the past couple years after building it and every time I pull the lower cowl I'm bothered by the odd geometry of my throttle cable. IO-540 with Avstar throttle body. All stock Vans parts from the FWF kit. The throttle cable has always had a kink to it where it exits from the bracket under the engine. Can't get the angle any straighter without the rear part of the cable hitting the bottom of the sump. It straightens out at full throttle with the cable fully extended but it's got a bit of an angle to it at idle. Photos attached at idle (cable fully retracted) and full throttle (cable fully extended).
Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated.
