RV-10 Gear leg fairing

Should this narrow flange be removed from the trailing edge of the leg fairing? Or does it matter?

Eventually, yes. Just be careful not to trim it tooo too close or you'll get a gap. Not aerodynamically an issue, just an aesthetic one. You'll need to trim it though to fit the intersection fairings (cuffs)
