Van's RV-10 Standard Build Fuselage Kit/Project – 2023 Delivery – Livermore, CA (KLVK)
I've decided to pursue a different project and am building an RV-12iS instead, so I'm offering my RV-10 Standard Build Fuselage Project for sale.Assembly is in the very early stages. Construction is approximately through Chapter 26, Page 7 of the plans and is limited to the mid-fuselage bulkhead subassemblies (attaching ribs and supports). The primary fuselage structure remains unassembled.
The kit was delivered in 2023 (major skin manufacture dates are primarily 2021–2023) and has been stored indoors since delivery. It is currently located in my hangar at Livermore Municipal Airport (KLVK) and is available for inspection remotely or in-person.
Current Equivalent Kit
The current Van's base price for a new RV-10 Standard Build Fuselage Kit is approximately $36,900 before sales tax and freight.
There are two notable differences from a new kit:
- Wheel/brake package is not included. Van's did not include this prior to June 2023. You may choose and order your preferred system (Grove, Beringer, etc.).
- Windshield (C-1005 SC-15) was intentionally deleted from the order. Current Van's replacement price is approximately $1,286.
Condition
- Stored indoors since delivery.
- Never exposed to the weather.
- Original plans, documentation, and hardware included.
- Detailed inventory in progress and available as a Google Sheets spreadsheet.
- Any affected critical laser-cut parts have already been replaced. A small number of non-critical laser-cut parts remain, and a detailed list is available.
- Light cosmetic oxidation was found beneath the factory protective vinyl on three skins where moisture had migrated under the film near exposed edges. The oxidation has been cleaned to bright Alclad using maroon Scotch-Brite. No pitting or structural corrosion was observed. Before/after photos are available.

I am in the process of building a detailed inventory spreadsheet (Google Sheets) and can provide a link via DM to anyone seriously interested. My goal is for the buyer to know exactly what they're getting before making the trip.Available to prospective buyers:

Inspection / Pickup
The kit is located at KLVK (Livermore, California).
Preference is for an in-person transaction so the buyer can inspect the project and pick-up. I'd be open to reasonable delivery. I simply prefer to avoid repackaging and freight shipping if possible.
