RV-10 dinner at Oshkosh this year

I have been skunked on tickets to the RV-10 dinner the last few years.
Any plans for this year?

What does skunked mean in this context?
Is this an event I should try to go to?

There’s limited tickets. By the time he decided to go they were sold out. It’s a good chance to meet other RV-10 owners and builders. There’s also the separate RV beer social the following day just up the street that’s open free of charge to the entire RV community.

If you are an RV-10 builder/owner that is interested in meeting/making contacts with other -10 builders/owners then yes, it is definitely an event that you should try to attend. Always a good time to see old friends/familiar faces and meet new ones.

While there are limited tickets.. That have never precluded anyone that doesn't have a ticket from grabbing food (and paying for it themselves) at the main SOS tent and then coming over to the side tent where the RV-10 dinner is happening.

So either way, plan on coming.

Dear RV-10 builders and owners,

You are cordially invited to join us for a dinner party on Sunday evening before the air show opens. We will be gathering at the SOS brothers event tent at 1780 West Waukau Avenue at 6 pm for an evening of great food, drinks, and conversation. We will be serving hamburgers, brats, corn, sodas and beer. There will be live music playing right next door at the main tent. Bring your family and friends, children are welcome (at a reduced ticket price). There are no vegetarian options, but you are welcome to bring your own food and purchase a non-food ticket.

The event is supported by our sponsors:

We look forward to seeing you there!
Martin

Tickets available here Monday morning (8 AM CDT):

Update: Only 16 tickets left.

I'll be bringing a microphone, so we can have a few polls as conversation starters at the tables, for example, where you are in your build, who came in an RV-10 to the show, etc. Not sure, the 100 Watt amplifier is good enough, but we'll give it a try.
We'll be giving away one BestTugs ground power unit and some Aerosport Power swag.
I have a new RV-10 sticker as giveaway.
Some of the vendors will be showing banners, e.g. Evoke, BestTugs.
Thanks again to our sponsors who pick up 60% of the bill! The ticket prices make up the remaining 40%, it's a net zero profit event.
