RV-10 Carb Heat

Any suggestions for adding a carb heat to an aspirated O540. The alternate air door intake source may provide adequate heat from the interior cowling where a carb heat box is not necessary.

Carb heat = YES
Alt. Air Door = Not necessary with carb heat installed.

The -10 is capable to fly at high altitude where you could need carb heat and cowling heat would not be hot enough.
My two cents.

You don't need to fly high to require carb heat...

Yep... straight from the AOPA -
