The 3 blade MT prop is quite common on the RV-10, but is anybody running (or thinking of running) a 4 blade? Is the 4 blade MT smaller in diameter than the 3 blade MT?

Thomas, be careful with the 4-blade planning. I was considering one (customer built) and in fact ordered it but realized later it would be very difficult to get lower cowling off with a 4-blade. Already a challenge getting it off with 3 blades. Yes, shorter blades, but not enough. I modeled it up and could not get happy with it- requires pretty big change to lower cowl.

Unless it is a very high dollar/high efficiency prop like our military procures you may lose some performance. They are really designed for absorbing lots of power...not for 260 hp. It would look and sound different though.
