Rudder centering

OK, how did everyone "center the rudder" before marking the rudder attach tabs? "Eyeball" doesn't seem to work very well. I tried measuring the distance from the bulkhead yo the back of the bellcrank and that changes when to "pull the cable tight" on the second side. A couple of piece of wood clamped gust-lock stylr doesn't look too promising either. AM I being over-picky in trying to get the distance from the bulkead within 1/32 in.?

Have someone stand in front of the plane and center it by eye. You will be surprised how close you will be.
