I decided to go with dual Avery rudder cable fairings back to back to allow the swagged end of the cable to fit through the fairing without removal, while keeping everything flush/ riveted from the inside of the skin.
However, I’m second guessing myself on whether or not the hole size is big enough to pass the cable after riveting.
As originally designed, the hole will be .5” (that drill bit in the picture is .45” but the hole is oblong). I can space the two halves a little further apart and get the hole to .6” if needed.
Does anyone have pictures and measurements on the clevis on the end of the rudder cable to confirm what size I need to make this?
