ROTAX 912iS Intermittent Oil Pressure Indication

DNAFLY4

I'm New Here
I have an RV-12iS ELSA with a ROTAX 912iS engine and Garmin G3X Touch. Total time on the engine and aircraft is 187 hours. Recently had intermittent oil pressure faults during flight - lane 2 red light flashing, oil pressure indicator on G3X shows big red X, audible “ low oil pressure” warning. All other parameters remain normal, no oil loss, smoke or smell. Examined data from flight and verified no other engine anomalies during flight - all oil temps, pressures, etc. were normal except for oil pressure intermittently reading zero. After landing recycled lane 2 switch and oil pressure indicator was restored with correct oil pressure reading and all was again normal during taxi and shutdown. Next day flight was cancelled when lane 2 red light began flashing began during startup sequence and oil pressure indicator again with “X”. Any clues or suggestions appreciated.

Well first I would clean up the connection between the wiring harness and the sensor with contact spray. If that doesn't work then the most likely culprit is the sensor. You could measure the pressure manually to be sure.
