Replacement engine breather hose

Anyone know the automotive part description for the rubber hose segment for the breather? I think it is a standard radiator hose for a Japanese car. I recall getting a replacement from NAPA in the past but i can’t find the reference now. Thanks.

Std rubber doesn’t last long in oil applications. Spruce sells hose designed for oil contact. Better to go that way than radiator hose. I needed a 90 on the 10 and justified sweated a copper ell and two copper pipe stubs for the bend.

Bob:

Go this route. Half the price of Napa, and they're only a hop, skip and a jump from us:

Isn't it in the book of Revelation that one of the signs of the apocalypse is when airplane parts are cheaper than car parts?

MIL-6000 hose is $15.50 a foot at Spruce.

It’s a coolant hose. For the 6 cylinder engines, it’s NAPA #NBH 7545:

Van's PN: EA CV HOSE 7545

To the OP, yes - Van's included a chunk of NAPA radiator/heater hose (NAPA p/n 7545 and p/n 9816) in their FWF kits. Since its introduction in the 1900's, it's been pretty well established (and as @hgerhardt noted in his reply) that this type of hose should not be exposed to hot oil (alkanes). This hose *will* soften and can collapse resulting in nose seal failure.

Use MIL-D-6000 hose and/or power steering hose.
