Removing hinge eyes from the flaps hinges

The manual says "remove one hinge eye at the center of the flap hinge and two hinge eyes at the center of the wing hinge".

Is there any reason I cannot remove two hinge eyes from the flap and one hinge eye from the wing? I would like to move the location slightly so the pins are centered on the "bridge" of the flap brace. See the photo -- two marked hinge eyes are what I am supposed to remove, and I would like to remove just the right one instead.

I used side cutters then filed off the sharp bits that were left , I saw no need to go right back to the body of the hinge since it was only two install and remove the hinge pin

I use an X-acto razor saw to cut hinges. (Not the pins!). Works great. You can even get in to remove individual loops for this mod if you use short strokes. The Dremel with a wheel is another way.

Wait. There's an instruction on which eyes to remove. Oh bother!

I used a Dremel cutoff wheel.
Pins are secured using two scrap eyelets with a screw and nutplate.

Only down side to single eye versus two eye is the pin removal/insertion. With less eye space in between, the pin has to be bend slightly to get it out around the opposing eye . And inserting pin is a little more complicated in reverse. That said, not a real big deal. Just an FYI.

To be clear, I removed the same amount of eyelets (three in total), just in different way than manual specifies (one from the wing, two from the flaps).
