Recommendations for west coast aerobatic instruction

I'm New Here
Hi all,
In December of 2023 I got my cfi spin endorsment and some basic aerobatic lessons at Santa Paula California. Aerobatics seemed interesting to me and I wanted to continue with training. I fly an RV-7A with an io-360 with no inverted fuel or oil. Is there a recommended place on the west coast where I could get aerobatic training in type? It doesn’t need to be in my personal RV, but time in type would be greatly beneficial.

Cheers

What is your home airport ?

There are a bunch. West Coast Aerosport at Hawthorne has a CFI who owns an RV-7, so that might be what you're looking for. Sunrise Aviation at SNA is where I learned and taught recreational & competition, and advanced spin courses for a number of years. But if you're already familiar with CP Aviation, they might be worth it for you. Most of the stuff you learn in their Decathlon is applicable to the RV.

I don't have inverted fuel or oil in my -6 and as long as you're not sustaining the inverted flight you should be fine. I'll fly loops, rolls, cubans, immelmans, hammerheads, barrels, split-s, etc without issue.

not exactly west coast but Rich Stowell (ex-Santa Paula) is now in Nampa ID. I've been taking aerobatic lessons from him in my RV-14A and he's excellent

The short answer is, if you really did mean ‘in type’, then it does have to be in your personal RV. EAB’s cannot be used for compensation or hire.
