(Re) terminating BNC on integral (small) cable

The integral, small “gage” cables on the glare shield style GPS antenna appear to utilize standard crimp style BNC connectors. Anyone ever (re) terminate this type of cable? Those antenna are way too expensive to experiment on.

Would save a bit of work/yet another FW penetration.

Anybody?

I believe there is a specific BNC connector with a smaller ferrule that makes terminating those much easier. Not sure how they do it in manufacturing. Look for a BNC connector compatible with "mini" RG174. Of course you'll probably have to have the right crimper for it too.
