Re purpose H-Stab seal on elevator

Does anyone think this will help air flow ever so slightly over the elevator?

I ordered a length of this part from Vans to cover the wing gap to the fuselage. I have extra material and am dying to use it somewhere.

What data do you have that suggest the "airflow needs help?"

Also, check with your insurance carriers and see if they'll pay out even if acts of suicide are involved...

For the fixed piece under the tail, great idea. For a gap seal along the trailing edge of the stabilizer, heck no. After removing and replacing the wing root fairings a could of times you'll see how poorly that rubber stays in place when it's not positively held on both sides like when it's jammed up against the fuselage. On the horizontal stabilizer like that, you wouldn't make it around the patch before it jammed.

Thanks for the advice on H-stab (leave alone). Seal under tail is per plans. Seal on wing root has survived 3 cond insp and still looks good imo. I used a 3/16” gap and it is a continuous piece (no adhesive or glue) from wing trailing edge up over wing and around under the leg fairing. It’s a PIA (to reinstall) if the upper comes off for condition insp. So, I just remove the lower.
